The elastic waistband is soft enough that it doesn't leave marks on my baby's tummy, which was my biggest worry with other leggings. I've already washed them a few times and the fabric hasn't pilled or shrunk at all.

The wool-cotton-bamboo blend is nice and soft, but the waistband seemed a bit loose after a couple washes, so they slide down a little. They keep my baby warm enough indoors during fall, just not as snug as I'd hoped.
